‍BE AWARE OF SCAMMERS OFFERING ASSISTANCE

There have been a number of threat actors pretending to offer assistance in relation to the CrowdStrike update. Please be extra vigilant and ensure that you only obtain support from known IT support agents. Don't be afraid to call your support contacts to validate any support assistance.

‍WHAT SHOULD YOU DO TO STAY SECURE? 

To maintain your ongoing security, we advise staying vigilant and promoting a robust cybersecurity culture. Ensuring all staff members are educated about best practices will significantly enhance your organisation's defences against potential threats.

The Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) advises organisations to diligently apply updates and patches to their software and security products to enhance their cybersecurity posture.

‍CROWDSTRIKE RESPONSE

In response to this incident,CrowdStrike has issued additional technical guidance aimed at helping customers address any remediation challenges, particularly those related to Bitlocker implementations. CrowdStrike is actively working with customers impacted by the outage and has issued a statement on their blog.
